Reference Questions

A reference librarian is available the majority of the time the library is open. Questions about the status of circulating materials, programs and events, and other general information can be answered immediately. When a librarian is not available, and your question cannot be fully answered by the library staff, a “Reference Inquiry” form will be filled out. A librarian will review your inquiry and contact you as to how they can be of help. Peninsula Library patrons can also access the 24/7 online reference service of the Clevnet System (KnowItNow 24×7).

Local History Research

The Peninsula Library & Historical Society built the Roush Room in 1990 to preserve and make available the special collection of books, pamphlets, cemetery records, clippings, correspondence, and privately written histories pertaining to Boston Township and the Village of Peninsula. This special collection does not circulate, but most of it is available to be photocopied. Historical collections curator, Randolph Bergdorf, is available by appointment for extended reference assistance. Please call 330-657-2291.
