Martha Parks Lindley: Soldier-Woman of the American Civil War May 14 7:00pm AT The Boston Township Hall 1775 Main St.

Martha Parks Lindley, (1835-1909) a former local resident, presented by Brenda Sue Walters, Martha’s great-great-grand daughter. Martha’s husband joined the Civil War after they were married and Martha could not bear to be left behind, so she dressed in men’s clothing and joined the service and served beside her husband for three years.  Reservations are requested.
