Celebrate Kids Summer Reading Club “Unearth a Story” with us during June and July. On Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. through July 21, we will have a special event for kids ages 3 and up along with parents/guardians. Register in person for summer reading club and read and win prizes all summer long.
June 9 – Akron Zoomobile: Meet a variety of live Ambassador Animals from the Akron Zoo and learn fun facts about them.

Play yard games and encounter dinosaurs like a T-Rex, Velociraptor and a Triceratops in the library backyard.

Deep Lock Quarry Hike – Please note we will meet at the Deep Lock Quarry 5779 Riverview Rd Peninsula OH in the parking lot. Wear comfy clothes and shoes.
(if it is raining we will meet at the library. Please call if you have questions)
Step back in time to experience life on a canal boat through activities along a 1-mile hike, with stops at the stone quarry and canal lock. The hike will be guided by a Metro Park Naturalist.

Come view the opening of a time capsule that was buried on library grounds in 1993. Then help us fill a new capsule with notes and pictures for a future generation to discover.
